IMC Weekendschool art class in Rotterdam
The Netherlands | Last December, Stichting IMC Weekendschool hosted another lovely art class to 35 children in Rotterdam. They focused on the theme of family and all that it means.
The class was hosted by Robin Duister, a concept-driven illustrater from Rotterdam. Robin commented: “I was very impressed at how vulnerable some of the children were”. In the photos you can see how the children interpreted the theme in various ways. Heartwarming!
IMC Weekendschool is one of the foundations that we regularly support with art materials. They offer inspiration-based education to children between the ages 10-14 from underprivileged neighbourgoods. They provide the students with skills, knowledge and courage to find a place in society that matches their capabilities. It is a beautiful foundation we are proud to support!
Supported projects
The Royal Talens Foundation has provided art materials to the Palestine Humanitarian Response Centre (PHRC) for their upcoming Children's Hub in Cairo. This initiative aims to offer creative outlets and trauma relief to Palestinian children who have fled Gaza and currently lack access to formal education.

In a heartwarming collaboration this October, the Royal Talens Foundation provided art materials to Le Nid d'Artistes ("The Artist's Nest"), enabling 30 young artists to bring their imaginative worlds to life through creative workshops in Switzerland. The initiative specifically reached children from modest backgrounds, including young refugees from countries like Iran and Ukraine, who might otherwise not have access to quality art education.
