Nous On Crée: a young artists’ exhibition in Paris hospitals

Tuesday, December 12, 2023

France | On December 5th, 2023, we had the privilege of visiting the NOC Exhibition at the Necker children's hospital and Institute Curie for cancer research and care center in Paris. In this article you will read more about the exhibition, NOC, and our visit. Witnessing the transformative power of art in these special spaces was truly remarkable!

About the exhibition

This fall, NOC held a month-long exhibition displaying the works of children from the pediatric nephrology service and the Necker-Enfants malades multidisciplinary day hospital.

As if suspended in the sky, these creations, imbued with cultural and artistic references, are displayed on the windows, surprising children and their families and inviting the caregivers of the various departments to discover what is created in the intimacy of the NOC workshops.

After the exhibition, the works are now displayed in the corridors of the pediatric nephrology and HDJ departments, close to the artists.

About NOC

Our visit to NOC

On our visit to NOC, we attended three workshops, met with the NOC teachers and discovered the beautiful artworks in various departments. We were truly amazed and impressed by the NOC team’s ability to modify traditional forms of art to cater to different ages and skill levels.

The sight of children and teenagers decorating beautiful statues that would typically adorn museums such as the Louvre was especially moving. These works of art were proudly displayed in the hospital hallways, transforming the young artists into accomplished museum-worthy creators.

The NOC team expressed their appreciation for Royal Talens' high-quality art supplies, which helped instill a passion for art amongst their students, allowing them to create vibrant and beautiful artworks.

We extend our gratitude to Elodie and the NOC team for their warm hospitality in these exceptional settings. Additionally, we appreciate the enthusiasm of Stéphanie, from Royal Talens France, for her collaboration with the Royal Talens Foundation and this wonderful non-profit. We can't wait to see what our collaborations will bring in 2024!
